Moroccan Spice Bridal Shower

We love it when brides take risks with their event décor. When Kellie, an adorable young bride, came in for her consultation with the vision of a fabulous Moroccan themed shower, our design team was ecstatic with the thought of starting this wedding season off with a statement event! Fuchsia pinks, detailed overlays, custom floral arrangements and gold accents made this shower one to remember!

When we showed Kellie our designs she was a bit overwhelmed by the different fabrics and colours – but mostly by the hot pink chiavari chairs. We have to admit, on paper, the event sounded a bit crazy but Kellie trusted our team of talented designers, so she went with it. And we are glad she did! Some of our favourite clients are the ones that put faith in our team and allow us to do what we do best!

We used our princess styling to decorate the backdrop and head table. This involves layering and pinching complementary linens to create columns of fabric. We decorated the backdrop and head table with Pink Chiffon Roses - with gold brooches to add some sparkle – and Pink Satin and Gold Cartier ribbons. The head table was dressed in our Pink & Gold Secret Garden overlay paired with our Merlot Satina. This new combination worked out beautifully. The dark merlot colour was pulled from the guest table linens and darkened the otherwise soft overlay.

  

 

The guest tables were decorated in one of our favourite fabrics, which we’ve called our PurpleDubai. This unique, detailed fabric has a stunning combination of colours and also comes in a beautiful Teal Blue. But what really made the table design unique were the chairs. The hot pink chiavari chairs were a statement piece and a bit of a risk – but we think it turned out great!

We made custom accessories for Kellie’s shower which worked perfectly with the theme. To start we created custom square vases to hold our beautiful floral arrangements. We wanted to create a simple centerpiece because of the busy linens and statement chairs. We chose soft pinks and purple flowers with a few pops of fuchsia and orchid purple to complete the look. These customized vases dressed in your colour scheme are perfect to line head tables or as centerpieces on guest tables.

To bring some height to the design we created tall lamps to scatter throughout the room, on guest tables and along the head table. The tall, thin stature of the lamps made them perfect for the guest tables without making them to busy. The gold fringe with the fuchsia and purple lampshades completed the Moroccan design.

A Wedding to Remember! Is it Hamilton or Hollywood?

Our fabulous bride Alana is back to share her jaw dropping wedding reception at Carmen's Banquet Hall in Hamilton. When we last saw her she asked us to help create A Couture Bridal Shower to celebrate her engagement with her close family and friends. We created a chic, fashion forward design - any brides dream bridal shower!

When she came back to us for another custom Susan Murray Design for her big day we couldn't help but get excited! She and her planners, Candice & Alison, were a dream to work with. Alana brought her own taste and ideas to the table but allowed our team to take the ropes and do what we do best. We really wanted to go above and beyond for this fun loving couple so we made all the stops when transforming this hall to the wedding of their dreams!

Alana was looking to create a Hollywood inspired wedding reception so we wanted to combine a little tradition with some glitzy modern touches to create an elegant yet sophisticated decor design.

Where do we start when describing how we put this together! How about that dreamy, luscious backdrop? We created this grand custom Susan Murray design to fit the theme and what a show stopping focal point it made in the hall!

We started with a few basics for the backdrop and added layers of textured linens to add drama and create a luxurious setting for the bride and groom.  A sparkling mirror hung in the center of the backdrop which acted as a focal point for the grand display. Our chandelier pillars add depth to a simple backdrop - and a little sparkle!

The head table was to die for! The lush table fit for queen - and king - was dressed in our new White Ballerina fabric. Full ivory floral arrangements provided by Creations by Gitta lined the table and framed the fabulous bridal party. Six large candelabras stood tall above the table adding a regal and traditional look. A number of vases and crystal candle holders sat along the front of the head table surrounded by ivory rose petals. This gave the entire head table a warm romantic glow. Our elegant Diamond Tufted Throne Chairs were the perfect seats for the couple, a combination of modern elegance and traditional style! And to complete the look our Ivory Tufted Pillows decorated the bridal party's chivari chairs.

The podium was dressed in our White Satina and accessorized with tulle and our ivory chiffon rose.

Our dramatic decor along with the elegantly draped ceiling transformed the room into a whimsical tent like space. To complete the look we draped the entire room.

The cake was a stunning six tier white fondant covered cake with intricate silver details created by the infamous Cake Opera Co.

To match the exquisite cake we created a three tier table dressing. We started off with our Liquid Silver Lamé

 Liner. We topped that with our Silver Mesh Sequence and to add another layer of sparkle we used our exclusive White Gardenia overlay.

Guest tables were dressed in our White Ballerina fabric and White Confetti Topper. The plush White Ballerina fabric matched the head table while the soft White Confetti Topper added subtle sparkle to the tables.

We believe it is all about the details. It's the small details that brought this entire design together; here are a few images of the rest of the event - we can't get enough of it!

Floral Fantasy

From the moment guests arrived at Copper Creek Golf Club they were immersed in a picturesque country club setting. Guests were ushered across our Red Carpet into the beautiful venue space. For this event we were looking to create soft pink floral decor design featuring a number of our most exquisite linens. It was important to create a design that complimented the bride and groom's taste but also brought in a little Susan Murray flare to the room. The combination of our intricate linens, elaborate custom back drop and the couple's beautiful ethnic ceremony created a memorable night.

When guests entered the venue they were greeted with a bright reception area featuring our Pink French Pleating on both the receiving tables and cruiser tables. We added to the glamorous decor with some Silver Diamond Trim.

Guest tables were dressed in our New Pink Rose Gold overlay. This exclusive linen has 
a traditional feel but with the soft pink color and shimmering sequence and crystals it has a modern flare. This overlay was paired with our simple Pink Silk Satin. Our Soft Pink Vintage Rose accented the pink sequence on our New Pink Rose Gold perfectly. It brought the colors around the room together and also complimented the theme perfectly. Our Bisque Hemp Stitch napkins were an obvious choice as they are a gorgeous quality napkin however they do not take away from the beautiful linen it was placed on.

Each chair was accessorized with one of our unique chair accessories. A pink satin ribbon with our white tulle created a simple yet elegant chair tie. We added a little sparkle with some Gold Trim Ribbon.

The best part of our design was the elaborate backdrop. This custom backdrop design was a beautiful combination of textures and soft colors. Our Champagne Floral Fantasy covered the couples head table. We used chiffon roses to elegantly drape the cloth and add dimension. Beneath this linen was our new shimmering sequence to added pops of sparkle and add to the glamorous wedding.

 

 Our backdrop was put together using a number of different linens. Our Ivory Origami Satin framed the wall. A number of light weight fabrics in shades of ivory along with our new sequence linen made the entire room sparkle. This breathtaking design was the perfect backdrop for the couple and guests evening!

Our chandelier pillars were made from flowing tulle and soft ivory linens. We topped the pillars off with a few flowers to incorporate the floral theme.

Our Chiffon Roses with a few ostrich feathers were the perfect backdrop accessory. We added a small crystal brooch to add some sparkle.
