The Pack is Back!

Looking for a sophisticated and fun theme for your corporate event? We recently helped create this fabulous design for one of our corporate clients and we were thrilled with the results!

The theme? The Rat Pack! To create this we had to bring the glitz and glam of Vegas to the Arcadian Court. This grand venue was the perfect backdrop for the design. With the iconic Vegas sign, cabaret lamps and a sparkling stage fit for the Rat Pack the theme came to life! To recreate that energetic atmosphere a swing band played classic tunes like New York, New York and Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra and Mr. Bojangels by Sammy Davis.

As guests entered the venue they were greeted by the iconic Las Vegas sign announcing the return of the company's very own Rat Pack! Cocktail hour was simple yet elegant. Tall cruiser tables were dressed in our new Gold Sequence fabric and scattered around the room. Our tall candelabra placed on a grand black piano became the focal point of cocktail hour. 

We kept the tables simple while maintaining the sophisticated Vegas nightlife theme. To start we used our Copper Glam fabric. It is a light weight overlay with a chevron pattern. It's textured surface has just enough sparkle and movement to create a more dynamic table top design. Full arrangements of white hydrangeas offset the gold table beautifully. Our cabaret lamps, candle lit votives and our gold rim chargers adorned the guest tables as well.

  

Pulling from the copper and gold tables, the stage was dressed with our Copper Velvet Glitter. The reflective surface of this new fabric picks up light beautifully.  The shimmering copper colour made this the focal point of the room and completed that classic 60's look.

This heavy weight, quality fabric also comes in turquoise and deep purple!

South Beach meets LA Glam

This past weekend The St Joseph's Health Centre hosted their third annual Summer Solstice fundraiser. To kick off the summer My St. Joe's Foundation held this fabulous event in support of the Just for Kids Clinic at the elegant Liberty Grand, and what a success it was! The foundation raised more than $225,000 for the hospital-based clinic expansion.

We provided the linens and décor elements to this stunning South Beach Summer inspired event designed by Lizlyn Custom Floral & Event Design. 

Guests enjoyed a night of music and cocktails dressed in their best summer whites. The event décor was a mix of South Beach nightlife and the feel of an ultra chic LA patio. The art deco patterns and shapes throughout the design created a luxe modern feel.

 

 Inside the venue oversized, white furniture filled the room creating cozy seating areas where guests mingled, sipped cocktails and snacked on hor d'oeuvres. Custom made pillows and lamp shades brought in pops of summer colour into the space.  

The outdoor setting was stunning, pulling in the sophisticated South Beach meets LA theme with white lounge furniture, geometric prints and a chic cigar lounge. Our Blue Graphic linen dressed the cruiser tables out on the patio, while matching printed throw pillows tied the entire look together.

 

 

In the courtyard an exquisite cigar lounge was set up for guests to mingle. With its black and white art deco design, accented with a large chandelier at its centre, our Santorini Tent acted as the focal point of this outdoor space. The black and white theme of the outdoor space gave off a very chic, Gatsby-inspired look.

 

 

 

Our Black and White Bel-Air Stripe was used to dress the cruiser tables while our sharp Black Chevron shimmered under the crystal chandelier.

These fabulous seating areas, scattered around the tent, looked as though they were pulled straight out of a hot LA club with its sharp lines, contrasting colours and bits of sparkle. Custom made pillows, accented with crystal brooches accessorized the simple white furniture.

A Corporate Carnival

What better way to show appreciation for your employees than bringing an enormous carnival into the heart of the city. To show appreciation to their 2500+ employees this company created an over the top Corporate Carnival hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. They made all the stops with games, a merry-go-round, carnival rides and even live performances.

The idea was to create a retro themed carnival. To make this enormous space more intimate it was divided into different areas; a seating area, stage and dance floor as well as an area with rides and food stands. We helped complete the look by bringing bold colors and fun patterns to what is usually a very plain space. 

Custom throw pillows made to match the guest tables were used to create a comfy seating area for guests to rest after a ride on the merry go round!

Our new Cherry Blossom Trees brought an outdoor feel to this carnival. Decorated to fit the retro theme the glowing trees were a perfect addition to the decor design.

Tall white vases with colorful branches were a dramatic yet simple centerpiece. A thin, tall centerpiece allows for conversation and avoids clutter on your table top.

Our Pucci Passion was the perfect fit for this retro themed event. We pulled the bold colors from this fabric and used them to dress the tables. Alternating fabrics in such a large space is essential. It creates a much more dynamic space and makes for a better over all look.
