Abby's Bat Mitzvah

Abby's Bat Mitzvah was a hit last Sunday night at the Westin Prince Hotel. The room was transformed into a fabulous celebration! With feathered boas, crystal centerpieces and an endless supply of sweets it was truly an event to remember!

Sharlene Wilder, the coordinator of this outstanding event, pulled all the stops when planning the night. Each guest was given a beautiful mask adorned with a crown of feathers. The deep purples and sparkling swirls were the perfect match with our Purple Eye Lash fabric. This fun and colourful fabric was the perfect choice for the event. The whimsical swirls and reflective pieces set the tone for the entire design.

Our deep Purple Satina napkins were used to anchor the shades of purple in the table linen. Guest chairs were covered in our simple Black Giselle chair covers. These fitted chair covers make for a clean and sophisticated look. Simple chair covers allow for the fabulous tables to be the focus of the room.

 

The centerpieces certainly made a statement and stood out wonderfully in the grand room. The tall pieces reflected the light beautifully and the hanging crystals added to the whimsical feel.

In the entrance cruiser tables dressed in our Pink Crinkle  were scattered around the room. Each table accessorized with our soft pink chiffon roses and diamond trim. To give guests a sneak peek at what was to come, a tall extravagant centerpiece was placed on one of the cruiser tables.

A three tier hanging crystal chandelier centerpiece topped with large white ostrich feathers was washed in pink with an LED light. The statement piece gave guests just a taste of what was to come!

 It's the small details that really make a decor design extravagant. For Abby's event the team went all out decorating each table with a personal touch to tie in the entire design.

A Bat Mitzvah Fit for a Princess

An adorable young girl celebrated her Bat Mitzvah this past weekend at the Westin Prince Hotel and we are so happy to be a part of this important milestone in her life. We made all the stops when putting together a Susan Murray look for Maddie's big day.

We loved working with the team putting this event together. The event, produced by A Wilder Party, was meant to be a bright and colorful event which represented the girl's fun-loving spirit. We always enjoy putting together an event design for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. It gives us a chance to think outside the box, creating unique linen and color combinations.

It was clear that Maddie has somewhat of a sweet tooth! An over flowing candy table greeted guests, as they helped themselves to their favorite treats. For the candy table we used our new Blue Fantasy to add texture and flare and to compliment the brightly colored sweets.

The bright blue candy apples were something we had never seen before; it was a fabulous touch which went perfectly with the event's theme. We used our Silver Crush Shimmer for this table as it added a little sparkle to the table but let the bright blue apples really stand out!

The cake table was to die for! A beautiful arrangement of assorted cupcakes surrounded the fabulous two tier cake topper. Brightly colored Ostrich Feathers topped the cake, and what a perfect topper it was as we pulled this in to our centre pieces. An urn filled with an arrangement of cake pops added a sophisticated touch to the rainbow of colors. For the Cake table we used our new Tiffany Style Blue Floral and Sequence, a delicate pattern perfect for any dessert table.

Pictures of Maddie were showcased around the entrance on cruiser tables. We decorated the cruiser tables using our Silver Crush Shimmer and added a ribbon of blue tulle around the base. We also brought in our new Blue Tulle on the cake table. The tulle's light feel created a whimsical look, and when we added some diamond ribbon and a brooch it created a perfect table accessory.

And for the guest tables? We wanted transform the event space into a feathery wonderland. Tying in the feathers from the cake topper we topped our tall, glowing centerpieces with an array of white ostrich feathers. And what better linens to use than our Clear Silver Starburst over our Tiffany Blue Satina. The Silver Starburst brought some sparkle to each table, reflecting the light from the centerpieces beautifully.

Our Baha Blue Satina Napkins were the perfect accent which tied in the theme and the rest of the linens used at the event.

 Our Bridal White Giselle chair cover surrounded each table. The crisp white fabric and snug fit was a good choice as it created a clean and finished look.

We will have to rename the Prince Ballroom the Princess Ballroom because that's what it transformed into... a room fit for a Princess!
