A Couture Bridal Shower

Our gorgeous bride, Alana, hosted her bridal shower at Carmen's Banquet Hall in Hamilton on June 3, 2012.
We'd like to start off by saying what an absolute pleasure it was working with Alana while planning her shower. She really brought her own sense of style in her decor planning, which we loved. Her Chanel inspired shower turned out beautifully and we are so happy to hear that she loved our work. She was willing to take risks when it came to her decor but she was able to maintain her underlying theme which is what we believe made her shower fabulous. Every aspect of the shower screamed couture.

She decided on a classic black and white theme with soft pink accents and pearls throughout the design.

Our Santorini Tent was placed near the entrance of the venue space. This modern black and white tent is the perfect focal point for any venue space. We lined the polls of the tent with our Ballet Pink Satina which softened the look and it fit perfectly with the theme. We used black tulle to tie the fabric draped down the polls. The billowing linen combined with our light black tulle created a lush and whimsical feel to the tent.

Guest tables were covered in a simple White Satina surrounded by our Black Ghost Chairs. The elegant shape of the chairs with the simple white satin linen made a statement in the grand venue and it complimented our Santorini Tent beautifully. And what better napkin than our Black & White Bel-air Stripe to complete the look.

Under the show stopping tent was an abundance of sweets. The Chanel inspired candy buffet was a hit with Alana's guests. As a Thank you  from Alana each guest received a two tiered dessert server which they could fill up with as many of these delicious sweets they could. Sweet tarts, cupcakes, cake pops and macaroons, each sweet were given a Chanel inspired name which we thought was an adorable touch! The desserts and other delicious confectionary were provided by the Cake Opera Co.

The candy buffet was covered in a simple white satina to really make the gorgeous candy display stand out. Black Lace was elegantly draped around the table. The corners of the tables were accented with different shades of ruffled pink tulle. This added a soft touch to the table.

The prize table was covered in a White Matte Satin dressed with black tulle. Classic Chanel bags were lined up along the table

For the backdrop we kept it simple, modern and elegant. Simple white chiffon was draped behind the head table. Black frames were hung unconventionally using our black tulle. The distinctly shaped frames against the white backdrop along with some up lighting created a rich, Old Hollywood look. The table was covered in our Black Floral Lace with a simple White Matte Satin beneath it.

She was ecstatic with the way the room was transformed, and we were happy to hear back from her,

  1. My only assistance would be to start off arranging early, there were tons of problems running around in the final minute but it turned out wonderful, it is actually worth planning ahead of time. For the bridal shower we developed a scavenger hunt theme and absolutely recommend this to any one, it was astounding! We found lots of great themes on this web-site if you are searching for ideas:
